Artists in the Garden
15th Annual Art Show and Sale
Registration Information

Artists interested in participating in the annual show should review the following information. Questions can be directed to the fwvga@marist.edu.

Date: Saturday, October 6, 2007
Rain Date: October 7 or 8
Location: Italian Gardens, Vanderbilt Historic Site
Time: 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
Media: Watercolors, gouache, oils, acrylic, tempera, pastels, drawings, collage, sculpture and photography by individual artists.

Entry fee:$40.00 for a 15-foot snow fence section, or for equal space for artist providing own display unit. F.W. Vanderbilt Garden Association, Inc. (FWVGA) will receive 20% commission on each sale. The National Park Service requires that all sales be handled by the treasurer of the FWVGA. Payment for sales must be cash, check or credit card. The FWVGA will provide purchase orders for exhibitors to give to buyers to present to our cashier. Entry fee is non-refundable if show is rained out or exhibitor cancels.

  • Handicap parking is available closer to exhibit area, but is very limited.
  • Exhibitor may drop off artwork in garden area, but must park in the main parking lot near the Visitor Center. A volunteer will stay with the artwork until the artist returns.
  • Artists must remain during the entire exhibit and must provide own hooks for snow fence display.
  • Sculptors must provide own display unit.
  • All spaces are located outside, in grassy area, which can be damp in the morning. Exhibitors should bring blanket or other ground cover for anything that will rest on ground.
  • Exhibitors may not bring pets.
  • Coffee will be available in the morning for exhibitors. Refreshments will be sold during the show.
