Volunteer Awards

Aside from the joys of gardening and the pride of helping create beauty, volunteers in the FWVGA also receive awards for accumulating volunteer hours. These awards are given out at the annual association 'Fall Meeting' in November, with the exception of the 'green shirts' which are given out during the season. These awards have become a mark of honor symbolizing the committment of each volunteer to keeping the spirit of the Vanderbilt garden alive.

10 Hours - Green t-shirt

15 Hours - NPS Volunteer patch

50 Hours - NPS Volunteer pin

100 Hours - FWVGA Patch

200 Hours - FWVGA tote-bag or NPS belt buckle

300 Hours - FWVGA green sweatshirt

500 Hours - NPS windbreaker and FWVGA patch

1000 Hours - Your name is inscribed on plaque in the Tool House
