Even if you aren't much of a gardener, there are still many ways in which
you could volunteer for the FWVGA. One of the most important is to help
keep the association moving forward by serving on one of the standing
committees. Each committee has a specific purpose which is important to
the future of the garden and the association. Time spent working on one
of these committees is counted the same as time spent working in the
garden. Therefore, please consider volunteering for one of the following
committees:
- Computer - Helps maintain the membership information and advise the
FWVGA on computer related issues.
- Garden - Oversees the management of the garden. This committee does
require working in the garden.
- Historic Research - Responsible for doing research on issues related
to the historic restoration and preservation of the garden. It also maintains
a library of historic photographs.
- Public Relations - Handles the advertising of special events and othe
public announcements.
- Social - Responsible for organizing the refreshments in the
Tool House.
- Ways and Means - Responsible for coordinating all fundraising
activites (except the annual plant sale).
