Garden Peddler Cart Because the FWVGA must raise all the funds necessary to pay for the plants, supplies and equipment used in the garden, fund raising activities are very important. One of the most popular is the making and selling of crafts. Throughout the year, FWVGA volunteers make a wide variety of items from ornamental bird houses to stained glass 'light reflectors', which are then sold during the summer months from the Garden Peddler cart. Volunteers are also needed to 'staff' the cart during the summer. This includes handling purchases and providing information to the visitors in the garden.

Crafts Workshop Volunteers can work on these crafts at their home, or during group workshops held at the Tool House. Whether you have a lot of artistic talent, or only a little, everyone is welcome.

Along with crafts for the cart, one of the FWVGA's most successful fundraisers has been bookmarks made from dried flowers. Most of the flowers come from the garden itself, or from the gardens of Association volunteers. They are arranged and then glued onto paper, which is then laminated into a bookmark. These bookmarks are sold in the park gift shop, with all proceeds coming back to the FWVGA. Over the years, a number of volunteers have specialized in making the bookmarks and have succeeded in making them very artistic.
