The Vanderbilt Gardens

The heart shaped beds are usually filled with begonias. Most visitors
are pretty surprised to see begonias out in the full sun, with no
shade. Normally, begonias need at least partial shade. However, the
begonias with dark leaves tend to be "sun tolerant". We use the
"Alcohol" variety. Each begonia in this series has an alcohol related
name. The light pink used in 2005 are named "Whisky". We also use
"Vodka" which are red.
