The Vanderbilt Gardens
in Late June

Although it is now summer, the iris are not quite finished for the
season. Japanese iris have smaller blooms that bearded iris, but larger
than Siberian. The delicate blooms have been celebrated in Asian art
for centuries. In the Vanderbilt garden, the Japanese iris adorn the
sides of the Reflecting pool.
