Spring - Mid-June

For most people, June is known as the month for weddings. However, among gardeners in the Northeast, June is the month for flowers. By mid-June, flowering plants of all kinds are bursting with color. So, for us, mid-June is the beginning of the height of the blooming season in the garden.

By far, the finest show is put on by the roses. Most of them will continue to bloom, off and on for the rest of the summer. However, in mid-June, nearly all of them are blooming at the same time.

The rest of the perennials look pretty nice too.
