All about the FWVGA

When the F. W. Vanderbilt Garden Association began in 1984, it consisted of a handful of intrepid gardeners whose dream was to breath life back into the long neglected garden.  The mission? To bring the Vanderbilt garden back as closely as possible to the 1930's era.  Years and hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours later, the garden thrives and the mission remains the same.

The FWVGA is a self-supporting, not-for-profit organization which funds all of its work through private donations, grants and fund-raising events.  All of our work is done in partnership with the National Park Service.
There are many opportunities to help the mission of the association.  Along with working in the garden, volunteers are also needed to help with fundraising, grant applications, donation development, marketing, and general organization planning.
