The Vanderbilt Gardens
in October/November

FWVGA logo
By late fall, most of the annuals are done for the year. A killing frost damages the foliage of the tender varieties. Tougher annuals like the Blue Salvia can survive early frosts. The root system for this plant is very tough, so they require a lot of digging to pull out. Next year, a new plant will be in its place.
