in October/November

Pennesitum grass is a perennial, so that remains while the annuals are pulled out. The grass forms tassles which turn brown at the end of the season. The mounds will look pretty in the snow all winter. They will be cut back in the spring. Though the grass is dry now, it is still too tough to cut.
