Tea roses are not the only type of rose in the Vanderbilt garden. One of the most prolific and beautiful rose is named "Van Fleet". It is a climbing rose, which covers the trellises of the upper level of the rose garden. This a local variety of rose, which were grown from cuttings from older gardens in the Hudson Valley.
