The Vanderbilt Gardens
The Roses

Tea roses are not the only type of rose in the Vanderbilt garden. One
of the most prolific and beautiful rose is named "Van Fleet". It is a
climbing rose, which covers the trellises of the upper level of the
rose garden. This a local variety of rose, which were grown from
cuttings from older gardens in the Hudson Valley.
